Installation & Activation

Getting Cubic Carousel up and running on your Shopify store is fast and requires zero custom code edits. Follow this guide to install the app and activate its features in your active theme.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Install the App from the Shopify App Store

    Locate Cubic Carousel on the Shopify App Store and click Install. Review the app permissions on the confirmation screen and click Install App to complete installation. You will be redirected to your Cubic Carousel admin dashboard.

  2. Select a Subscription Plan

    Upon first launch, choose the plan that best fits your storefront requirements:

    • Starter Plan (Free): Core sticky carousel embed, up to 5 products, basic recommendations, and all customization controls.
    • Growth Plan ($4.99/mo with 15-Day Free Trial): Unlocks the Related Products Slider app block, up to 25 items, all recommendation strategies + custom collections, pinned card slot, and 30-day click analytics.
    • Pro Plan ($9.99/mo with 15-Day Free Trial): Full catalog capacity (up to 200 items), Universal Custom Carousel block, Related Products Grid block, pinned card slot, and all-time tracking analytics.

  3. Activate Theme App Embeds (Required for Sticky Bar)

    Some features of Cubic Carousel, such as the Global Sticky Bar, float dynamically across the viewport and require Shopify “App Embeds” to be enabled:

    1. Go to your Shopify Admin $\rightarrow$ Online Store $\rightarrow$ Themes.
    2. Click the Customize button on your active theme.
    3. In the left-hand sidebar, click the App Embeds tab (the puzzle piece icon).
    4. Locate the Global Sticky Bar toggle.
    5. Switch the toggle to ON (Enabled).
    6. Click Save in the top-right corner.

  4. Add Carousel Blocks to Theme Pages

    For standard in-page carousels and grids, add them directly to your template sections:

    • Adding to a Product Page (Recommended):

      1. In the Theme Editor template dropdown (top center), select Products $\rightarrow$ Default Product.
      2. In the left-hand sidebar, click Add Block or Add Section.
      3. Under the Apps category, select Related Products Slider or Related Products Grid.
      4. Drag the block up or down to adjust its vertical position relative to your product details.
      5. Customize style settings (presets, colors, borders) in the right settings panel.
      6. Click Save.

    • Adding a Custom Carousel to Home, Collection, or Landing Pages:

      1. Navigate to the page template you want to edit (e.g. Home page).
      2. Click Add Section in the left panel.
      3. Under the Apps category, select Custom Carousel (Universal Carousel block).
      4. Click Save.
